The truth or the accepted reality

The fundamental essence of human nature is his spiritual well-being. Life, itself is founded on spirituality, without which the body becomes nothing but a mechanical figure that has no real meaning , sound or even life.

The above statement  highlights the crucial need of any individual to aid his spirit with the necessities that it needs to have in order to sustain it and thus lead a life that is ideal for a human being; a life of peace.

The unfortunate twist to this turn is that, as humans, we only ever think as far as we can see. According to us, peace can only be brought by harmony within our social spheres and attainment of all needs and wants at all given times. The truth, however, is rather deeper than that.

Covering financial needs and wants, being exposed to positive people who only want the best for us and never intend on contending with or hurting us is an ideal life that only lingers in everybody’s desperate fantasy

Most people fall into traps by religious quasi-gods who want only to be worshipped, not to help anyone find peace. Peace is not obtained simply by going to church and being given a title, label or name.

What then, is key in this regard? Introspection!

The world is separated into good and bad and what we try our best to do is to ensure that we fall into the “good” category.  We do good as often as possible and attend church as regularly as possible, along with abiding by its rules. However, these still cannot suffice. What is important is not only what is inside of us but also how it is, whatever is inside.

Our actions, good or bad, cannot qualify us as saints. In fact, without the essential foundation of love within the human heart, statuses like baptism, confirmation into church, etc become meaningless. Morals and good principles are there to channel us in the right direction so that we can eventually find ourselves at the closest point possible, to righteousness, but they can never quite put us right on the spot.

The problem with principles is that they are too obligatory, so they are carried out for many reasons like the hope of getting rewards, the fear of retribution, want for recognition, etc. but, what if there were absolutely no real consequences for actions good or bad? Would we still abide by the rules of the bible? No, we would do what we please, which is not necessarily always in line with what is right. For that reason, love becomes an imperative quality.

Love is the only force behind positive engagements and deeds, both necessary and unnecessary. It breeds a positive spirit in the individual and thus, without morals and good principles to shape the individual, the individual can still carry himself out positively without pretence, because love is the basis of good ethics.
