Makers Of Nice Things

I write to thank the makers of things
For doing what they know
The trinkets and lockets and bracelets and such
We all would like to own

But Heaven above and the devil below
can see through the packaged lies
When the poor hate the rich, for the makers gold-stitch
its jealousies in their eyes.
